Firm Foundation vs. Changing Landscape

God created us in two genders, male and female.  This has been God’s created order since the beginning.  It’s firm, it’s clear, it’s not in question.

Marriage, from the beginning, is a decree from God between one man and one woman.  It’s firm, it’s clear, it’s not in question.

Sex outside of marriage, along with any other form of sexual perversity, is a sin.  We must not turn away from what is right and aligned with God’s written Word.

Homosexuality is a sin that must be repented of.  It’s firm, it’s clear, it’s not in question.

What then do we say to a culture that looks to upend this nuclear family and Biblical understanding of sex, marriage, and gender?  How has this become viewed as oppressive living?

I have recently read articles that have centered on “queer morality” within the Church.  Support of, accommodation to, and outright apologies for any disruption by the Church as to previous failures to support unbiblical, sinful, Godless lifestyles have now come from the “Christian” Church.

So what do we say as faithful believers to God’s Holy Written Word?  Repentance, turning away from sin, is necessary for any thoughts or deeds regarding sexual sin.  God is clear.  There is no gray area.  There is to be no changing landscape.  There is only the firm foundation of Truth in God’s Word.

All can be forgiven, salvation can be attained, through the saving power of Jesus Christ and His Word.  Transformation is possible only in Jesus.

We must stand firm, ready to make a defense to everyone of our faith and hope in Jesus; with gentleness and fear.  We share our faith from the Truth of God humbly, thoughtfully, reasonably, and biblically.  We do this being ready to accept persecution, hatred, or banishment for the very Truth that God set from the beginning.

The world seeks to divide.  Jesus unites.  We are one in Christ when our faith in the firm Word of God is preached.  The Word that tells us all sin needs to be repented of.  We do not celebrate sin.  We marvel at the Grace of God to rid sin from our lives each and every day.  Are we sin lead, or are we Spirit lead?  Do we walk with the world, or do we walk with Christ?

Christians are not victims.  Jesus gives us the power to change any circumstance we are in or have been placed in.  We have joy, peace, and hope in any and all circumstances because we have the power of God’s Word as we walk through the changing landscape of the world around us with Jesus, who never leaves our side.

I would love to speak with anyone seeking a relationship with Jesus!
