“Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.’” (Gen. 1:26a) All people are made in God’s image: men and women, boys and girls, the young and the aged, persons of every color, tribe, and ethnicity. All of humanity is created in the image of God.
God has given one savior to humanity. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
Jesus is Lord and Savior of all nations. Only in Jesus do we have everlasting peace, harmony, and life. Only Jesus can bring peace and reconciliation to everyone on earth. Only through Jesus can all people of every color, tribe, ethnicity, and background be united.
Without Jesus, no politician, no movement, no government, no organization can break down walls of hostility and unite. “For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups one and broke down the dividing wall…so that in Himself He might create the two into one new man, making peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross.” (Eph. 2: 14-16)
God looks into the heart, not our physical appearance. Our physical appearance is not important. “But God said to Samuel, ‘Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart.’” (1 Sam. 16:7)
In Scripture, physical appearance is not important at all. Not even a little. We are not to even consider what a person looks like. We are to view others as God views them…by their heart and actions.
Very few people are even described in the Bible. We have no physical descriptions of Paul, Peter, Moses, Adam, Eve, or Jesus. Jesus is the most important person in the history of the world. More has been written on, spoken of, and thought about Jesus Christ than any other person in history, yet God’s Word does not describe His physical appearance at all. We know only of the heart and actions of Jesus, and all those throughout Scripture.
The Bible says very little about race. It NEVER refers to race by skin color. Race by skin color is solely a modern and unbiblical method to classify fellow human beings. The Bible emphatically emphasizes unity in all of God’s glorious creation. We are all one. United as believers in Jesus Christ.
Let us all remember Jesus always…remember the heart and actions of people…and remember Jesus broke down all dividing walls of hostility. Let us all unite through Jesus, our perfect heart template.
If you are seeking a relationship with Jesus, I would love to speak with you.
