Paul’s message emphasized the Gospel to the lost. “Let it be known to you, brethren, that through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses” (Acts 13:38-39)
We spend life working, dreaming, thinking, hoping for things we do not have. Always wanting more, we end up lost. Paul, once a persecutor of the very Christians he is now preaching God’s Word, was lost himself. By the Grace of God, his unmerited favor to believers, Paul was freed from his bondage to all things. Things, which when placed above and before God, are nothing but sinful lusts of the flesh. Paul knew, by the Word of God, that through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, he is freed from the bondage of sin. No longer lost in worldly passions and pursuits, but found and freed by the Grace of our Lord and Savior. Faith in Jesus Christ; forgiveness of sin.
